Latest Updates from Our Project:

Exciting!

Hi everyone!

I've a little good news, the cover and interior files have been finished and sent to DriveThruRPG for review.

Stephen Turner, one of the minds behind Brittannia Game Design www.britgamedesigns.com (Seriously, go check out Chivalry and Sorcery! 20% goes to the Honeypot charity.)  has very kindly formatted all 258 pages ready for print and it won't be much longer now before a proof copy will be in my hands!!!

Assuming there aren't any glaring errors, we are well and truly on track for this to be available sometime in May.

The Kickstarter add-on's are coming on nicely too, with the blank sourcebook already finished, the floorplans for the Ganso spaceship complete, and the two adventures mostly written but still needing artwork to make them shine.

Once again, the support for this has been mind blowing and I wish to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me bring this project to life.

All the best!

Onto proofreading!
about 3 years ago – Mon, Mar 15, 2021 at 04:09:52 PM

The FREE Quickstart has been downloaded 446 times, and has a 4.6 out of 5! That puts a smile on my face :D

https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/319214/Weirdspace--Quickstart

Also, all of the main corebook artwork is now in and the proofreading has begun!!!

Once this is sorted I'll be ordering a proof copy to make sure it all looks ok, and it can then be sent out.

The PDF stretch goals are also coming along quite nicely with the blank universe sourcebook almost done, the Ganso spaceship floorplans also pretty much there, the STL file for the Ganso spaceship already sorted and the other two adventures plotted and just getting fleshed out, the artwork for those bits are still outstanding.

In other words, I'm on track for the self imposed May finish date!

Thank you all for your patience,

Stay safe,

Proofreading stage
about 3 years ago – Wed, Mar 03, 2021 at 06:04:29 AM

Hi all!

It appears that the May deadline I've put on this will be no problem at all, and that's taken me quite by surprise,

The main book is only missing one piece of artwork now, and the proofreading has started.

Of the extras we have the following news

*Blank sourcebook - Complete (with plans for a filled version for a future kickstarter)

*The Ganso - Ship floorplans all received, and a full page of potential plothooks written, just the layout to look into there

*Spacestation adventure & Nebula adventure - Covers received, bones of the story well on with being fleshed out however the internal artwork hasn't been started yet as I was prioritising the corebook artwork. NPC's and monsters all written up and they're both playtested a little with a few kinks to work out

So what are the next steps?

Proofreading to continue while waiting for the last piece of artwork for the mainbook, and I've got someone with experience of Print On Demand who has kindly offered to format the book correctly for DrivethruRPG!!!

All in all, things are progressing ahead of schedule and I couldn't be happier with that!

All the best!

Getting closer
about 3 years ago – Mon, Feb 01, 2021 at 09:17:59 AM

Ok, so there are only three pieces of artwork still outstanding from the main book (still quite a bit to recieve for the PDF stretch goals, but those don't need a proof copy to arrive before I send them out)

I've been looking at the Brexit situation too, and with using DrivthruRPG for the distribution I don't think it will cause any real issues or excessive postage costs for the European orders, but it may mean the USA orders will arrive first.

I've also had the very Pre-Order!

The link is on the Kickstarter page, and if there's just another two or three of those, I'll have enough to cover the tiny spaceships!!!

The main book artwork should be sorted in the next two weeks, and as you may have seen already on Twitter & Facebook I've also arranged for the DrivethruRPG formatting to be resolved by someone who has already released a catalogue of physical books with them :)

So things are progressing rather nicely and I should have some good news in the next couple of weeks!!!

All the best

Getting closer to complete
over 3 years ago – Tue, Dec 29, 2020 at 03:06:44 PM

Hi all!

I hope you're looking forward to the new year, and leaving 2020 behind... I know I am.

Work is still continuing on the book, mostly editing and inserting the new artwork, I'm only four pieces off having the main book finished, and these have already been ordered!!!

From there, it'll be a case of getting the page numbers and index page matching up, arranging for it to be print ready,  and then ordering a proof.

Then proof reading and correcting the inevitable cock ups,

While I'm waiting for that to arrive, the three extra adventures are getting done, one is almost finished, the other two are a bit more involved.

I've set up a pre-order shop too! We were soooooooooo close to that final stretch goal of the tiny 3D printed spaceships I'm hoping this will just tip it over and I can get them sent out as well, that would be a great start to 2021 for me!

I'm also in the planning stages of a follow up sourcebook,

As I'm sure you can imagine, with 16 years of build up to this point I've a lot of plots and planets ideas, so putting that together seems like a perfect sequel

That however, isn't getting started until this one is fully finished.

All the best,

Paul Cat.
